Polly Cartwright was the wife of Clarrie who was Bandmaster for thirty years. She continued to be a key figure in the band for the rest of her life and was made a life member in 1997, shortly before her death. This picture shows her cutting the cake on her 80th birthday in 1991 |

Stewart Thorp presents Ray Ratcliffe with the "Good Egg" trophy. Ray, who died in 1995, was the ultimate "Good Egg", being a non-playing band member responsible for transport, maintenance, common sense and general "gofering" together with unfailing support for Dorothy in her role as Secretary. |
